Psalm 92
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,
And Your faithfulness every night,
3 On an instrument of ten strings,
On the lute,
And on the harp,
With harmonious sound.
4 For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work;
I will triumph in the works of Your hands.
Your thoughts are very deep.
6 A senseless man does not know,
Nor does a fool understand this.
7 When the wicked spring up like grass,
And when all the workers of iniquity flourish,
It is that they may be destroyed forever.
9 For behold, Your enemies, O Lord,
For behold, Your enemies shall perish;
All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
I have been anointed with fresh oil.
11 My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies;
My ears hear my desire on the wicked
Who rise up against me.
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bear fruit in old age;
They shall be fresh and flourishing,
15 To declare that the Lord is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

Hebrews 4:12-16
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. 14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Quotes:
“God has given you His promise,
That He hears and answers prayer,
He will heed your supplication
If you cast on Him your care.”
~Bernstecher~
“Don’t let prayer be your last recourse in time of need; make it your first.”
~Author Unknown~
Heavenly Father,
Thank You that You answer prayer. Help me to remember that Your will is just, true, and loving even if I don’t see it like that at the time.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

Quotes:
“Just what do Christians look like?
What sets their lives apart?
They’re ordinary people
Who love God from the heart.”
~D. De Haan~
“Christians are ordinary people who are committed to the extraordinary person of Christ.”
~Author Unknown~
I may be ordinary, but with Jesus I become extraordinary. Not because of me, but because of Him!
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for using this ordinary woman in extraordinary ways. Help me to continue to point people to You, the only True Hope to a world in need of a Savior.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen!

Don’t be a spiritual slacker!
“When we know what God wants us to do,
But then we refuse to obey,
We’re ignoring the voice of the Lord,
And sinfully choosing our way.”
~Sper~
“We may make excuses for not obeying God, but He still calls it disobedience.”
~Author Unknown~
Heavenly Father,
Help me to not be a spiritual slacker Help me to be always obedient to You and Your Word. Guide my feet. Direct my steps. Show me Your ways. Teach me Your truth.

“Speak, for Your servant hears.”
Quotes:
“God who formed worlds by the power of His Word
Speaks through the scriptures His truth to be heard;
And if we read with the will to obey,
He by His Spirit will show us His way.”
~D. De Haan~
“God speaks through His Word to those who listen with their heart.”
Heavenly Father,
I ask that I would always listen with my heart so that I can hear what You wish to say to me.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
Today’s little tidbit
Today’s “Our Daily Bread” devotion is called “Invite Questions” so I thought I would let my friends ask me questions about anything. If the answer is private, I will message you. Give me at least a day to answer.
Quote I like “Honest questions can lead to faith-building questions.”
Heavenly Father,
Make me someone who others will ask questions of not because of me, but because of the Jesus they see in me!
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Three short devotions
I posted these on my facebook. Enjoy!!

These are some scriptures I read during devotions time today:
All from Philippians Chapter 4:
verse 11 “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:”
verse 13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
verse 19 “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
I needed to read these three verses today as Ben and I are still waiting for his clients to pay him.
Heavenly Father,
Help me to be content no matter what state I may be in. Show me that I can do all things through You who strengthens me. Remind me that You, my God, supply all my needs according to Your riches in Glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

Today I found two quotes during devotions time:
“Lift up your eyes, despairing one,
The Lord your help will be;
You have a friend in heaven who cheers,
And calms the troubled sea.” ~Anon~
“There is no place where earth’s sorrows are felt more than in heaven.” ~Author Unknown~
It is truly a blessing, a reassurance to know God cares for me even in my darkest valley and on my highest mountain. He carries me when I can no longer walk, weak by life’s woes.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being so good to me and for caring so deeply for me. I love you!
Love,
Your Princess

Today’s insight from my devotions. Here are two other quotes
“We must teach our children clearly
What is right and what is wrong;
Live before them an example-
Godly, righteous, pure, and strong.”
~Fitzhugh~
“To teach your children well, let God teach you.”
~Author Unknown~
We might not have children right now, but I understand the importance of being a good example, a good role model.
Heavenly Father,
Help me to mimic You in all I say and do so people won’t see me but see You! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
It seems that I am a horrid keeper of a blog. :S I started out well, but have slacked off a lot lately. It has been almost a year…a YEAR! since I posted something!!
Let’s see. Not much has changed since then though. There is still no child, no children for us. Ben is still working hard and I’m just doing my thing. There is more stories that I have started. I hope to finish them all some day!
Not much else is going on.
So I guess that is all.
